Training Overview​

The "Network Scanning with Nmap" training is designed to comprehensively teach network scanning techniques, which are essential skills in the field of network security and penetration testing. The training covers various Nmap scanning techniques, including TCP SYN (Stealth) scan, TCP Connect scan, UDP scan, and more advanced scanning techniques like TCP FIN, NULL, Xmas, TCP ACK, and Idle scan. Each scanning technique is explained in terms of when and why it should be used, its advantages, and potential limitations. Additionally, advanced features such as timing templates, service version detection, and operating system detection, as well as the use of the Nmap Scripting Engine (NSE), are also discussed.
